  • Dispensor Success!

Working into the wee hours of the night on Halloween's Eve, I cut my pinky open with the knife at 4am.  It wouldn't stop bleeding so I was forged to take a 3 hr nap while I waited for the wound to close.  Managed to finish up costume between 7 and 8:30 before taking off for the blood bank.

Robot mode, before entering blood bank.  ended up carrying the legs by hand -- too hard to walk the 100 ft to the entrance wearing them >_<

finished product, sitting in corner at blood bank.  I was a mini-celebrity :-p
Thank you Eddy for suggesting the Autobot insignia.  it made a big difference.

    pre-Hallelujah night.

  • How Embarrassing (deleted scene)

I was reviewing this old xanga entry

    http://kevnishi.xanga.com/680527349/how-embarrassing/

when I realized that a crucial part of this story is missing.

At the time, MeeA worked in my office as an admin.  I took a sample of this not-so-fabulous slow-cooked chicken to the office to get her opinion.  Indeed, she agreed that the meal was edible but not entirely fantastic.  Seeing that I was moderately distressed about the quality of my food (yes, Jen, I know you can't believe I'm claiming to be concerned with my quality), MeeA decided to contact our faithful babysitters, Virginia and DHan to ask them to encourage the dear Shim children to be grateful that I cook at all, and to be all the more grateful that their mother cooked such amazing meals every day (esp when compared to my poor attempts at cooking).

Soooo when the 5 of them were eating dinner, even if anybody detected that something was wrong with the meal, the sitters had been instructed to grin and bear it.

props to JRitzi for providing me with this.
